If you think children should be taught to speak clearly then this is for you.

Children who can speak confidently have a head start in life. It means they can make friends at school or playschool, they can ask the teacher if they can go to the toilet and they find it much easier to learn to read and write if they already have a good understanding of words.

You can run these classes in a church or village hall, in a school (before school or after school) or you could run smaller groups in other parents homes.

The starter pack includes 35 detailed lesson plans which tell you exactly what to do and say. As long as you have a basic knowledge of speech and how it is made you'll be able to teach these lessons.

You should get back your investment during the first few weeks of trading.

There are three options available.

1. The 35 lesson plans and pictures (sent to you by email) for only £75
2. Study for the ASUA for only £20 a module or £150 for all 10 modules
3. Lesson plans, pictures and ASUA course for only £199

A.S.U.A.

Unfortunately this option is not available in South Africa.

You can now study for your A.S.U.A. one module at a time.

Each module costs only £20.

When you email (or post) the answers back to the Academy an examiner will mark them and send you back your marks plus comments. If you've achieved the 70% pass mark you can then purchase the next module - there is no time limit, it could be that day, the next week, the next month or in six minths time. If you don't achieve the pass mark just re submit the module, you can do this as many times as you like.

Once you've passed the A.S.U.A. you can attach these letters to your name.

This pack will include all the information you need, plus laminated picture sheets to use during the sessions, a years worth of lesson plans.

The cost of the starter kit is £199.

In the starter kit you will receive

1. A training manual explaining the basics of good speech. The information in this manual will enable you to become an Associate of the Speak Up Academy of Speech and Drama if you wish. This is the distance learning course which can be purchased on its own for £150 but is included in this start up pack. (This includes the course, access to a tutor, exam questions marked with feedback and a diploma if pass mark is achieved.) See distance learning page for more details of this manual.
2. Test papers to become an Associate.
3. A manual explaining how to set up the sessions - timetables,where to advertise, how to advertise, what to look for when hiring a hall, financial information - what to charge etc.
4. A manual containing a years supply of lesson plans (35 lessons - in the UK these sessions run in school time only)
5. The 26 laminated picture cards you'll need for the lessons (A4 size).
6. You will also receive a page on my website which you can use to advertise your sessions if you wish.
7. Further years lessons can be purchased for a small sum when needed.
