What do the sessions consist of?Each session is structured and over a period of a term the following will be covered:
We are aiming for the children to be able to speak confidently in sentences, not just one word statements and for them also to be able to understand what is being said to them when long sentences are used. This will increase their confidence and set them up for life.
Children who are able to use and understand elaborate speech find it much easier to settle into school and other activities. I hate to say it but it does give them an unfair advantage at school. They're able to express themselves and at this age this means that the simplest tasks are much easier, (like asking to go to the toilet!)
