Christmas readings, performances and speeches

Christmas is a time when a lot of us speak in public.

School children perform nativity plays or other plays and although they practise like mad and learn all their lines unfortunately they can't always be heard or understood. Knowing how to practise can avoid this.
Older children and church goers give readings in church and quite often read too fast and too quietly meaning that the congregation can't hear them. Churches are quite often old large buildings so more attention has to be paid to the speed at which you speak.

Employers often give speeches at Xmas parties and are expected to sound enthusiastic and interesting.

Over the next few pages I have tried to cover the basics so that you and your children can approach these events with increased confidence and a lot less stress.
